This Dots and Dashes resource is an essential part of our spelling programme (UK spellings), specifically designed to help students segment words into their individual sounds. By breaking down words into phonetic components, children can better understand spelling patterns and sound-letter correspondences.
This resource pairs perfectly with other components of the programme, such as Dictation exercises, sight vocabulary recall, and spelling games. By mastering segmentation with Dots and Dashes, students build a strong foundation for accurate spelling, which they can apply across all literacy activities.
